The ICT / ELV Engineer is responsible for supporting the design coordination, implementation, and supervision of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) and Extra Low Voltage (ELV) systems in building and infrastructure projects. The role ensures that ICT and ELV systems are installed and integrated according to project specifications, engineering standards, and project schedules. The engineer will work closely with M&E teams, consultants, contractors, and project stakeholders to ensure efficient system delivery and performance.
Responsibilities
- Review ICT and ELV system design drawings, specifications, and technical submissions to ensure compliance with project requirements
- Coordinate with M&E engineers, consultants, and contractors to ensure proper integration of ICT and ELV systems within the project
- Provide technical input and support during design development and implementation phases
- Supervise the installation of ICT and ELV systems to ensure compliance with engineering standards and project specifications
- Monitor installation progress and ensure alignment with project schedules
- Support technical troubleshooting and problem-solving during project execution
- Assist in the implementation and coordination of systems including structured cabling, CCTV, access control, public address (PA), data networks, telephone systems, fiber optic networks, and building communication systems
- Participate in system testing, commissioning, and integration activities to ensure systems meet operational and performance requirements
- Support system handover and documentation at project completion
- Maintain technical documentation, system records, and progress reports in accordance with project and company standards
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering, ICT Engineering, or related field.
- At least 5 years of experience in ICT/ELV engineering within building construction, engineering consultancy, or M&E projects.
- Experience working with ELV systems such as CCTV, access control, structured cabling, PA systems, and network infrastructure.
- Ability to review technical drawings and specifications.
- Good coordination and communication skills to work with multidisciplinary teams.
- Proficient in English communication.
- Experience in large building projects, commercial buildings, hospitals, airports, or mixed-use developments.
- Knowledge of ICT network systems, fiber optic infrastructure, or smart building technologies.
- Familiarity with engineering standards and M&E system integration.
