Seed Supply Manager

Our client, a global leader in the agriculture and seed industry, is seeking Country Seed Supply Manager. In this role, you will lead all Seed Supply activities in the Country of Thailand and Cambodia, including Demand & Supply Planning, Customer Service & Logistics. As a visible and commercially oriented business leader, the incumbent provides direction for all Seed Supply activities in the Country and collaborates with Group Supply Chain to set the strategic direction. This position is responsible for Country Seed Supply performance as part of the Country Leadership Team, and is part of the extended global Supply Chain Leadership Team.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Functional Leadership of Seed Supply in Support of Business Results

• Leads the Team involved in Demand & Supply Planning, Customer Service & Logistics.
• Organizes the work of the Seed Supply Team to ensure delivery of business results in support of sales, profit and cash flow, by ensuring accuracy and consistency of planning, agility of response, excellence in execution and efficiency of spend, while always ensuring safety and compliance.
• Leads key business processes including S&OP, Crop Plan, Slow Moving & Obsolete inventory and contributes effectively to Innovative Growth Product launch and Portfolio Management including rationalization.
• Orchestrates functionally with cross functions in Country Leadership Team i.e., GM, Sales & Marketing, Finance, HR, EHS to deliver superior performance.
• Leads the transformation of Seed Supply into a competitive advantage.
• Develop strategies, policies, procedures, and performance management to bring Seed Supply performance to the next level.
• Brings an uncompromising passion for Safety and Quality to turn these into “Fundamenteals” for Seed Supply.

Seed Supply Performance Management

• Ensures performance of Seed Supply Team to deliver functional KPIs and business results.
• Monitors performance through data driven analysis and leading indicators. Guides Team on improvement opportunities and provides support where needed.
• Encourages an atmosphere of continuous improvement and leverage benchmarking to identify key improvement areas, while ensuring these contribute to business priorities and will deliver business results.
• Ensures key process improvement tools (e.g., Lean Six Sigma, Kaizen) are fully understood and leveraged for efficiency in appropriate areas.
• Establish key metrics and benchmarks to identify then execute opportunities to improve performance.
• Delivers superior demand forecast accuracy and consistency through robust Demand Planning and S&OP leadership.
• Ensures supply through robust capacity & inventory management and Crop Planning.
• Delivers superior performance to our customers through reliable planning and execution.
• Drives spend efficiency across Seed Supply Team, and Logistics to improve profitability and release funds to drive growth.
• Manages supply and cost risks, leads mitigation actions, and executes per plan to ensure that the company support customers even in the most difficult circumstance.

Team Capability Building

• Identifies the skillset needed for specific teams under Seed Supply and ensures robust succession & development plans.
• Creates a spirit of One Seed Supply to bring all teams together under common objectives, while also ensuring strong integration with other teams at Country (including SisCo) and Group to enable processes and to deliver results by acting as the business co-pilot.
• Coaches Seed Supply talents and gauges progress through organization development structure e.g., IDP (day-to-day and in assigned mentoring situations).
• Is responsible for sustaining Seed Supply organization which fits for purpose, is capable of handling the evolving needs of the business and is cost optimized.

Contribute to Global Supply Chain

• As a member of the extended Global Supply Chain Leadership Team, contributes to the development of Global Supply Chain strategy.
• Leads specific initiatives as part of global projects.

Reporting Structure and Key Stakeholders

• Reports directly to Regional Head of Seed Operations - Central Asia.
• Supervises the leaders of Demand & Supply Planning, Customer Services & Logistics.
• Works closely with Sales Manager, Marketing Manager, Finance Manager, and the entire Country Leadership Team. Collaborates with Group Supply Chain, other Country Supply Chain Managers, EWIT Supply Chain, Group Seed Operations, and Group Crop Team.

Minimum Requirements:

• A Bachelor's degree (Master’s degree as a plus) in Supply Chain / Logistics from a premier institute.
• Equipped with 15 years of experience as a successful Supply Chain professional in a global company (7 years in a management role).
• Experience in the seed business and agriculture industry is a plus.
• Is familiar with seed business regulation, law and government policies pertaining to supply chain as a function which has an impact on EWTH future growth prospects.
• Is familiar with all Seed Supply functions and their processes related to developing and successfully managing a proactive business focused function.
• Positive and energetic Team player, pleasant / people friendly with a warm personality, and willing to learn.
• Is able to adapt communication to stakeholders at all levels in different background in the organization.
• Excellent computer literacy, be data analytical with good business acumen. Well equipped with ERP system i.e., Dynamic 365.
