They are seeking a Customer Service Export to manage end-to-end ocean export shipments. This role involves close coordination with local customers and regional stakeholders to ensure smooth, accurate, and timely execution in a fast-paced, service-driven environment.
Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle ocean export operations, from booking through to shipment completion
- Receive shipment instructions from customers or overseas offices and arrange bookings with carriers
- Prepare and send booking confirmations for validation prior to release
- Coordinate with customers on container schedules, pick-up/return timelines, and shipment requirements
- Liaise with carriers, trucking providers, and internal teams to ensure smooth execution
- Arrange additional services including trucking, loading, fumigation, and documentation based on Incoterms
- Support documentation processes and ensure timely submission
- Proactively resolve operational issues, delays, and customer requests
- Ensure accurate job costing, documentation completion, and timely job closure
- 2–4 years’ experience in freight forwarding (Customer Service or Operations, with ocean export preferred)
- Strong understanding of export processes, shipping documentation, and Incoterms
- Experience with freight forwarding systems is preferred
- Good English communication skills for coordination with regional stakeholders
- Ability to manage multiple shipments and priorities independently
- Detail-oriented with strong coordination and problem-solving skills
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, operations-focused environment
