Job Summary

We are looking for a BIM Software Developer to design, develop, and maintain digital solutions that enhance BIM workflows across engineering and construction projects. This role bridges software development with BIM operations, supporting automation, data integration, and digital innovation initiatives within the organization.

Key Responsibilities

Develop custom tools, plugins, and scripts to improve BIM processes and efficiency
Work closely with BIM Engineers, Designers, and Project Teams to identify workflow gaps and provide technical solutions
Build and maintain integrations between BIM platforms and other systems (e.g., ERP, databases, cloud platforms)
Automate repetitive design and coordination tasks by creating script or programming
Support BIM standards implementation through digital tools and templates
Optimize data management, model performance, and interoperability across platforms
Troubleshoot technical issues related to BIM software and custom applications
Stay updated on emerging technologies in BIM, digital engineering, and construction tech

Qualifications & Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Civil Engineering or related field
2–5 years of experience in software development, preferably within AEC (Architecture, Engineering, Construction)
Strong programming skills in languages such as Python, C#, or JavaScript
Experience working with BIM platforms such as Autodesk Revit, Navisworks, or similar
Familiarity with APIs and SDKs (Optional e.g., Revit API, Autodesk Platform Services and Dynamo)
Understanding of BIM processes, standards (LOD, ISO 19650), and data structures
Knowledge of databases (SQL/NoSQL) and cloud technologies is an advantage
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in cross-functional teams

Preferred Skills (Nice to Have)

Experience in automation, AI, or data analytics within construction or engineering
Exposure to VDC (Virtual Design & Construction) workflows
Knowledge of IFC, interoperability standards, and digital twin concepts
Experience with web app development or dashboard tools (Power BI, etc.)

Technical: Microsoft Project, Primavera P6; strong understanding of construction contracts including delay and change documentation
Leadership: Strong collaboration and communication skills; ability to work across multiple teams and stakeholder groups
