Our client is seeking an experienced Assistant Accounting Manager to join their Finance team at their Wellgrow facility. Reporting to the Accounting Manager, this role is responsible for overseeing month-end closing, balance sheet reconciliations, tax compliance, and the accuracy of all accounting transactions.

The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining financial integrity whilst supervising and developing the accounting and finance team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform month-end closing entries and ensure balance sheet reconciliations are carried out accurately and on time
  • Ensure all financial transactions are recorded in accordance with accounting principles and local tax regulations
  • Review and monitor balance sheet long outstanding items, control CAPEX spending categorisation, and ensure payroll and accrued expenses are posted correctly
  • Maintain and update the Chart of Accounts, and create cost centres and general ledgers in the company ERP system (Odoo)
  • Control, supervise, and verify the accuracy of accounting documents including various tax entries and accounting records for receipt and payment ledgers
  • Prepare accounting reports accurately and within specified periods, in accordance with accounting standards, company regulations, and procedures
  • Examine all types of accounting transactions occurring in operations, checking relevant documents and ensuring correct account codes are applied
  • Analyse and investigate causes of accounting inconsistencies across reporting periods
  • Collect tax documents, calculate, and prepare input and output tax reports including PND 1, 3, 53 and Por 30, and ensure tax invoices are accurate
  • Ensure Vendor Master management is maintained and subject to ongoing review

Requirements

  •  Minimum 5 years of experience in finance and accounting across reporting, AP, or AR functions, with at least 3 years in a managerial role
  • Advanced Excel skills and ERP proficiency; experience with Odoo or similar systems is an advantage
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and compliance regulations in Thailand
  • Ability to lead, motivate, and manage a team to deliver high-quality results in a fast-paced environment
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Thai nationality
  • Fluent in both Thai and English
