Working closely with internal teams—including Operations, Purchasing, and Engineering—as well as external suppliers and contract manufacturers, you will ensure operational targets are achievable while proactively resolving potential planning, scheduling, capacity, and material bottlenecks.
Responsibilities
- Develop and manage master production plans and daily/weekly schedules based on forecast demand, plant capacity, lead times, and inventory levels.
- Collaborate with contract manufacturers (CMs), Operations, Purchasing, and Engineering to ensure frictionless plan execution.
- Identify operational constraints and implement load-leveling and capacity-balancing strategies to minimize delays.
- Evaluate demand changes and adjust production schedules while protecting schedule stability and delivery commitments.
- Lead root cause investigations and corrective action plans for work order failures, component shortages, and recurring operational constraints.
- Partner closely with Purchasing to identify material shortfalls early and mitigate production impact.
- Track planning readiness for New Product Introductions (NPI) and align line-level production schedules with broader Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) strategies.
- Maintain accurate planning parameters, lead times, Bills of Materials (BOM), and master data within ERP/MRP systems.
- Analyze performance metrics (schedule adherence, inventory turns, lead times) to drive process improvements, enhance data integrity, and support operational decision-making.
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Manufacturing Operations, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Experience in production planning, material planning, supply planning, or manufacturing operations (background in electronics or optical component manufacturing highly preferred).
- Solid understanding of core ERP/MRP systems, production scheduling methodologies, and inventory control principles.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and manufacturing documentation is a strong advantage.
- High proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with Power BI or advanced analytics tools is an advantage.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills, with a demonstrated ability to prioritize complex tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Fluent in Thai and English (written and spoken); proficiency in Mandarin Chinese is a strong advantage.
