The Science & Technology (S&T) team in AFB is a global team within Research & Development where the responsibility of the team is to think long term, and execute against the broader global strategy, developing all assets and innovative tools to ensure new science and new technology that meet market trends, deliver IP and grow our business.

 

Your opportunity within AFB International

As Science & Technology Product Development Technician, you will support the APAC Research & Development team by preparing product samples for customer and internal testing, coordinating sample shipments, and ensuring accurate documentation that meets quality and regulatory requirements. You will also support day-to-day laboratory activities and contribute to the development of innovative solutions. In this role, you will report to the Manager of Product & Process Sciences EU & APAC (based in the Netherlands).

 

This is an exciting opportunity to join our growing Thailand team and help establish laboratory operations while working closely with colleagues across our global R&D network.

 

 

Key Responsibilities

Laboratory Operations

  • Accurately weigh raw materials and prepare laboratory-scale blending according to formulations, ensuring precision, consistency, and traceability.
  • Prepare laboratory-scale samples for internal evaluations and customer sample validation.
  • Conduct shelf-life studies, including sample preparation, storage, monitoring, testing, and accurate documentation of results.
  • Set up sensory testing for product and raw materials to support product development project.
  • Prepare coated kibble and wet pet food samples for palatability studies.
  • Perform routine laboratory analyses, including color measurement (Colorimeter, Pantone), Micro-NIR, sieve analysis, bulk density, moisture, and other standard physical tests.
  • Prepare online testing request forms and coordinate external laboratory testing.
  • Operate, maintain, and perform routine checks on laboratory equipment.
  • Monitor annual laboratory equipment calibration and coordinate servicing when required.
  • Maintain laboratory organization, cleanliness, and compliance with safety requirements.
 

Logistics & Inventory Management

  • Coordinate domestic and international shipment of samples, including preparation of import/export documentation.
  • Monitor inventory of raw materials, finished products, and retained samples used for R&D activities.
  • Manage laboratory consumables and supplies, ensuring sufficient stock availability.
  • Organize sample storage and maintain accurate inventory records.
 

Documentation & Systems

  • Maintain accurate laboratory records, testing results, and sample traceability.
  • Assist in preparing laboratory work instructions (WI), and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
 

Education & Professional Qualification

  • Bachelor’s degree in Food Technology, Food Science, Animal Science, Biotechnology or related fields.
  • 0–3 years of laboratory or R&D experience in a laboratory environment (food, chemical, pet food) (fresh graduates are welcome).
  • Demonstrated interest in product development, laboratory operations, and pet food technology.
 

Competences

  • High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and analytical thinking.
  • Good documentation practices and disciplined approach to laboratory work.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize multiple tasks effectively.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in cross-functional teams.

We are seeking a proactive, recruitment-driven HR Supervisor to lead end-to-end talent acquisition for our client; this role will own the full recruitment cycle, from workforce planning through sourcing, interviewing, and onboarding, while also supporting broader HR operations including employee relations, performance management, and HR administration. Our client, a leading global vegetable seed company, is looking for a Senior Accountant to join their Finance and Accounting team in Thailand. In this role, you will be a key member of the finance team dedicated to supporting the Group's Dutch entity, taking ownership of accurate and timely financial accounting, invoice processing, and reporting — ensuring compliance with both local Thai requirements and Dutch/Group accounting standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform daily general ledger operations, including posting journal entries, maintaining accurate account balances, and ensuring proper classification of transactions.
  • Take an active role in month-end and year-end closing, including preparing and posting accruals, prepayments, depreciation, revaluation, and other closing adjustments.
  • Conduct thorough balance sheet reconciliations (e.g., intercompany, fixed assets, accruals, prepayments) to ensure data accuracy and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
  • Manage all aspects of fixed assets, including recording acquisitions, disposals, transfers, and calculating monthly depreciation and impairment; maintain the fixed asset register and conduct periodic physical counts.
  • Prepare financial statements and various reports, providing supporting schedules and preliminary analysis as required.
  • Ensure all accounting practices and financial reporting comply with Dutch GAAP and The Group Accounting Policy, submitted on time.
  • Execute intercompany transactions and reconciliations between the Thailand-based operations and the Dutch entity to ensure smooth cross-border financial flows.
  • Oversee the end-to-end invoice database for EWNL, ensuring all supplier invoices are recorded and prepared for payment approval.
  • Prepare documentation and support internal and external audit requirements.
  • Collaborate with other accounting functions and departments to ensure smooth financial operations, and identify opportunities for process improvement within the GL function.

Requirements

  • 2–5 years of experience in general ledger or related accounting roles; external audit or multinational company experience is a plus.
  • Proficient in spoken and written English and Thai.
  • Strong understanding of Dutch GAAP and IFRS; solid knowledge of VAT, WHT, and CIT principles, including tax return familiarity.
  • Proficient in Google Sheets and advanced Excel; experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or Dynamics) preferred.
  • Analytical and detail-oriented, able to manage multiple tasks with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, proactive and self-motivated.
