Our client is a leading global manufacturer and is seeking a Head of Legal, Compliance, and Risk Management APAC to lead all legal activities for their Southeast Asia business unit. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the legal and regulatory environment in Southeast Asia, as well as experience in managing a team of legal professionals.

Key Responsibilities
• Draft and review contracts for the SEA region: labor contracts, purchasing contracts, sales contracts mainly
• Supervise, report potential issues, and assist in recording & filing all relevant contracts for the BU region
• Conduct regulatory watch on Thailand's BOI and Foreign Business Act policy changes, as well as other SEA countries' policies and compliance obligations
• Conduct intellectual property registrations and follow up for all SEA countries
• Act as the single point of contact for the Legal HQ Department on legal, compliance, insurance, and regulatory issues in the name of the BU Region
• Carry out regular reporting on the 5 SEA countries
• Coordinate and locally assist in deploying the global Insurance program
• Facilitate hosting and coordinating potential audits
• Participate to CSR initiatives and actions as a part of the global compliance scheme.
• Carry out the annual compliance report for the Region

Qualifications
• Master’s degree in business law is preferred, from a top domestic or international university
• 10 years minimum experience either in a Law firm or in-house legal, regulatory and/or compliance position
• Excellent level in written and spoken English
• Multitask oriented, curious and pragmatic and business oriented
• Identifies with the values of the company: Start-up business partner, Mutual Trust, and Strong Sense of Ethics
