Our client, a global leader in manufacturing high-quality aircraft containers, is known for innovation and excellence, setting industry benchmarks with durable, reliable, and user-friendly products. They are seeking an Environmental Officer to join the Health Safety Environmental (HSE) team.
This role focuses on ensuring compliance with environmental regulations, pollution and waste management, and implementing projects to reduce environmental impacts, such as recycling and energy-efficiency improvements.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and follow up on the annual environmental action plan
- Analyse environmental aspects and pollution significance, proposing solutions for improvement
- Monitor and ensure compliance with environmental laws, managing relations with local government and regulatory bodies
- Monitor and report environmental indicators, including energy consumption and sustainability programmes
- Support activities related to environmental energy management and CO2 reduction
- Coordinate and conduct HSE training for employees
- Develop and deliver HSE communications and materials
- Manage waste management processes, report environmental indicators, and audit waste storage areas
- Distribute Safety Data Sheets (SDS), audit chemical storage, and manage chemical usage
- Conduct environmental monitoring, coordinate reporting, and propose improvements
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, Occupational Health and Safety, or a related field
- 1-3 years of experience in the HSE or environmental field within a manufacturing environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft 365 (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, Teams)
- Good English communication skills
- Knowledge of Environmental Management System and environmental laws
- Ability to conduct employee training on environmental activities
- Capacity to coordinate with government and local agencies
