Our client, a leading German machinery manufacturer specialising in product inspection and contamination detection across various industries, is seeking an experienced Sales Engineer to join their team. In this key role, you will drive sales growth by leveraging your technical expertise to understand customer needs and recommend customised machinery solutions that comply with food safety standards and customer QA guidelines.
This position will focus on a territory in the Southern region, with direct sales to end customers, supported by the team in Bangkok.
Responsibilities:

  • Identify and target potential customers in the food industry to expand the client base
  • Assess client needs and recommend suitable product inspection solutions
  • Educate customers on food safety standards and available product offerings
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to deliver customised and compatible solutions
  • Present technical demonstrations and proposals to prospective clients
  • Negotiate and close deals, ensuring the achievement of sales targets and revenue goals
  • Develop lead generation programmes and accurately forecast sales activity
  • Provide post-sales support, including troubleshooting and client assistance
  • Stay updated on industry trends and products to effectively communicate benefits
  • Maintain detailed records of sales activities and market research

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in technical sales within the machinery industry
  • Preferred experience in the food manufacturing industry
  • Strong understanding of machinery with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; professional proficiency in written and spoken English required
  • Proven ability to build and maintain strong client relationships
  • Self-motivated and goal-oriented, with a proven track record of meeting/exceeding sales targets
  • Willingness to travel for client visits and trade shows
  • Proficient in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite
