We are seeking a skilled and experienced Safety and Fire Prevention Assistant Manager to lead safety operations and ensure compliance with ISO 45001, PSM, and OHS regulations. The ideal candidate will have extensive hands-on experience in safety management and a proven track record in team leadership within the manufacturing industry.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee safety management, including machine safety checks and contractor control activities.
- Develop and implement safety programs to increase safety awareness across the organization.
- Ensure compliance with ISO 45001, PSM, and other relevant safety standards.
- Monitor and enforce adherence to OHS legal requirements and other regulatory obligations.
- Manage incident reporting and investigations, including implementing Yokotenkai activities.
- Plan and deliver safety training courses to improve staff competency and awareness.
- Manage budget allocation for safety initiatives, focusing on cost reduction and efficiency improvements.
- Coordinate and engage in customer-related safety activities (e.g., TCC).
- Lead 5S, 3T, and safety patrol activities to maintain a safe and organized workplace.
- Organize and execute various safety-related activities to ensure a safe working environment.
- Oversee chemical control and management to ensure safe handling and compliance with regulations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 8–10 years of hands-on experience in safety management, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Comprehensive understanding of safety management systems such as ISO 45001 or OHSAS 18001.
- Proven experience in people management and leadership.
- Knowledge of Kaizen and Yokotenkai methodologies.
- Certified Chemical Specialist (Bor Chor) and holder of a safety license.
- Hold a Process Safety Management (PSM) certification
- Good command of English
