Quality Manager

Our client is a global EV manufacturer expanding its supply chain and manufacturing operations in Thailand. They are seeking a Quality Manager / Director to establish and maintain robust quality standards for their vehicle production. This role involves building quality management systems from the ground up, focusing on both supplier and customer quality. The ideal candidate will be proactive, agile, and capable of working in a dynamic environment, collaborating with global teams and local suppliers.
 
Responsibilities

• Supplier Quality:
  • Conduct supplier audits and establish quality standards
  • Perform incoming inspections and manage supplier quality issues
  • Ensure supplier documentation and drive process improvements

• Customer Quality:
  • Address customer complaints and implement corrective actions
  • Build and maintain a QMS system

• QMS Implementation:
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive QMS, aligned with relevant standards
  • Train and guide the team on quality management
  • Build processes from the ground up

• Team Leadership:
  • Lead and mentor quality engineers and inspectors
  • Collaborate with global teams and local suppliers
  • Report writing

• Process Improvement:
  • Identify and implement quality and efficiency improvements
  • Business travel within Thailand and SEA

 

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Diploma in Engineering
• 8-10 years of experience in automotive parts or OEM manufacturing, with supplier quality experience
• Knowledge of quality tools and problem-solving
• Familiarity with ISO/IATF quality management systems and experience building QMS from scratch
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work in a startup environment
• Excellent English communication skills
