Our client, a global leader in glass and building products, is seeking a proactive and results-driven Production Line Supervisor to lead a shift team, achieve production goals, and ensure strict compliance with company standards.
This role involves managing a team of approximately 20 operators and requires rotating shifts. Reporting to the Production Manager, the Production Line Supervisor will focus on fostering a safe and efficient work environment while driving continuous improvement across production processes.
Responsibilities
  • Oversee and coordinate shift production activities to ensure compliance with EHS standards, enhance reliability, maximise production efficiency, and control costs
  • Foster team development by supporting skill-building, problem-solving, and employee engagement initiatives
  • Lead safety efforts by encouraging team participation and accountability, proactively identifying and mitigating potential hazards
  • Monitor product quality and guide crew members to maintain productivity while adhering to quality standards
  • Assist in resolving production issues by identifying and implementing quick and effective solutions
  • Build a positive team environment and establish strong cross-shift relationships to ensure seamless collaboration
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of supervisory or management experience, ideally within a heavy industry setting
  • Preferred background in roles such as Production Engineer, Process Engineer, or Production Supervisor
  • Proficiency in English, including speaking, reading, and writing
  • Demonstrated strong leadership skills, strategic thinking, and the ability to make independent decisions
  • Adaptable to a fast-paced, evolving work environment, with a positive, self-motivated attitude and a willingness to learn
  • Able to perform well under pressure and maintain analytical precision
  • Willingness to work flexible shifts
