Our client, a global plastic forming company, is seeking an Industrial Engineer for its Rayong operation. This role leads Facilities and Industrial Engineering projects across Asia, including facility evaluation, equipment installation, and commissioning. The engineer will work with contractors and the Maintenance Department to optimize systems, troubleshoot issues, and drive continuous improvements.
Responsibilities
  • Develop proposals for new facility designs, locations, and equipment installations, ensuring proper validation and startup procedures.
  • Implement strategies to enhance operational efficiency and performance.
  • Standardize facility systems for operations and maintenance, including APM (Advanced Plant Maintenance), BMS (Building Management System), and IIOT (Industrial Internet of Things).
  • Plan and coordinate resources across multiple locations.
  • Conduct Facility Condition Assessments (FCA) and implement energy efficiency initiatives.
  • Maintain and optimize facility layouts in coordination with other engineering disciplines.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to facility leadership.
  • Establish maintenance procedures and ensure compliance with safety and regulatory requirements.
  • Oversee maintenance schedules and contractual services for utility maintenance (e.g., air compressors, HVAC systems, security systems).
  • Scope: Facilities in Thailand, India, and future locations within the Asia region.
  • Travel: 25-50% travel required.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial or Mechanical Engineering.
  • 10 years of experience in industrial engineering and facility projects, including site expansions, new facility commissioning, and equipment installations.
  • Experience in the thermoforming manufacturing process is a plus.
  • Proficiency in interpreting engineering drawings, safety regulations, operating instructions, and procedural documentation.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including experience presenting to stakeholders.
  • Strong mathematical and analytical skills, including proficiency in algebra, geometry, and statistical analysis.
  • Problem-solving skills with the ability to work in dynamic environments with limited standardization.
  • Experience using CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) and Microsoft Office applications.
