Our client, a global leader in the agricultural sector known for its innovation and commitment to sustainability, renowned for operational excellence and global reach, is seeking a talented GL Assistant Manager to join their Finance & Accounting team.
In this role, you will be instrumental in driving the accuracy, compliance, and efficiency of the financial closing and reporting processes in alignment with both Thai GAAP and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS)
As a key member of the accounting function, you will oversee general ledger operations, support consolidated financial statements, and play a crucial role in process improvement initiatives across multiple entities. Responsibilities:

As a key member of the accounting function, you will oversee general ledger operations, support consolidated financial statements, and play a crucial role in process improvement initiatives across multiple entities. Responsibilities:
- Oversee and Control Closing: Supervise and manage the monthly/quarterly/annual closing processes to ensure timely and accurate completion in accordance with both Local Accounting Standard and Group Accounting Policy
- Monthly Account Reconciliation: Perform and review the reconciliation of key accounts at each month-end to ensure data accuracy.
- Process Development: Participate in the planning, development, and improvement of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for the closing process to enhance efficiency and reduce errors.
- Consolidated Financial Statements: Support and contribute to the accurate preparation of consolidated financial statements for the group, in compliance with Group Accounting Policy.
- Account Entry Verification: Review the accuracy and completeness of entries in the general ledger, and adjusting entries.
- Financial Analysis and Presentation: Preliminary analysis of financial statements and key accounting data to ensure accuracy.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare financial statements and related accounting reports according to established standards for both internal and external purposes.
- Tax and Regulatory Filings: Calculate and file Corporate Income Tax, and coordinate/ submit reports to the Department of Business Development (DBD).
- Coordination: Liaise with internal departments and external parties such as auditors, various operational teams, and Group Finance.
- System Enhancement: Collaborate on improving and developing accounting processes and the ERP system for greater efficiency.
- Team Management: Involved in providing guidance or training to team members
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- 5–7 years in accounting with solid experience in General Ledger and financial closing.
- Background in both audit firms and commercial/industrial companies.
- Multinational company experiences preferred.
- Direct experience in Corporate Income Tax filing and DBD reporting.
- Experience developing SOPs and improving accounting processes.
- Strong knowledge of Thai GAAP, IFRS, and consolidated financial statement principles.
- Fluent in English (spoken & written) for communication with global teams.
- Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics 365).
- Advanced Excel and Google Workspace skills.
