Our client, a top-tier global automotive supplier, is seeking a Facilities & Maintenance Manager to lead a dynamic team dedicated to achieving zero unscheduled downtime. This role is essential in maintaining quality and safety standards at minimal cost while driving continuous improvement and fostering a healthy work environment. Responsibilities include managing IATF compliance, implementing Total Productive Maintenance (TPM), and overseeing maintenance schedules and budgets.
Responsibilities
  • Lead the maintenance team to ensure zero unscheduled downtime while maintaining quality and safety standards at minimal cost
  • Participate in regular production and scheduling meetings
  • Maintain positive relationships with internal customers and suppliers
  • Adapt effectively to changing environments
  • Manage the maintenance aspect of IATF compliance and support ISO14000 and ISO18000 requirements
  • Support the creation and maintenance of a safe and healthy working environment
  • Prepare and manage annual maintenance budgets, ensuring expenses stay within approved limits
  • Develop and implement TPM plans for all equipment and facilities
  • Assist with new programme development and support equipment and facility modifications
  • Continuously improve maintenance processes and procedures for greater effectiveness and efficiency
  • Coordinate with purchasing to ensure availability of spare parts
  • Conduct monthly key issue meetings and regular root cause analysis meetings
  • Ensure proper staffing levels and perform duties assigned by the General Manager
  • Align maintenance department activities with manufacturing schedules and budget constraints
  • Operate in a fast-paced environment, making quick decisions to prevent downtime and managing shifting priorities with minimal travel
  • Schedule maintenance according to plant requirements, prioritising safety work orders
  • Oversee preventative maintenance schedules for equipment
  • Process purchase requisitions and control expenditures
  • Ensure plant facilities meet safety standards and are well-maintained
  • Supervise employee performance, set clear expectations, and provide timely feedback
  • Manage departmental expenses within budget and collaborate with finance on facility and capital expenditures
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering
  • Minimum of five years’ experience in auto parts manufacturing
  • Proficient in both written and spoken Thai and English
  • Familiarity with mechanical product design principles and process design
  • Experience in equipment and facility management
  • Practical experience with automatic production lines (assembly lines) or CNC machining
  • Strong problem-solving and innovation abilities
  • Demonstrated teamwork mentality with advanced management experience and leadership skills
  • Familiarity with IATF and ISO14001 system requirements
  • Proven ability to lead teams and implement tasks effectively
  • Proficiency in PC applications
