Our client, a leading global food manufacturer recognised for its iconic snack brands, is seeking a BOI Specialist. This role is crucial in supporting the setup of a greenfield manufacturing project by ensuring compliance with the regulatory framework established by Thailand’s Board of Investment (BOI). The successful candidate will help secure and maximise tax exemptions, import duty reductions, and other BOI-related benefits essential for cost efficiency and competitiveness.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare and submit applications for BOI promotion, investment incentives, and related permits
  • Develop and obtain BOI approval for production formulas
  • Manage extensions, amendments, and cancellations of BOI privileges
  • Ensure compliance with all BOI policies and guidelines
  • Serve as the primary point of contact with BOI officers and government agencies
  • Collaborate with internal teams such as legal, finance, and operations to align with BOI requirements
  • Facilitate inspections and audits by BOI authorities
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all BOI-related activities
  • Oversee BOI material balance inventory management
  • Prepare and submit mandatory reports, including updates on investment progress and operational performance
  • Advise internal stakeholders on tax exemptions, duty reductions, and other BOI incentives
  • Monitor the utilisation of privileges and ensure compliance with corporate tax benefits
  • Recommend and implement improvements to streamline BOI compliance processes
  • Stay updated on regulatory changes and communicate their impact to relevant stakeholders
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Law, Accounting, or a related field
  • 2–3 years of experience in BOI processes and compliance
  • Strong knowledge of BOI regulations, corporate tax, and investment incentives in Thailand
  • Proficiency in Thai and English (written and spoken)
  • Excellent organisational, multitasking, and problem-solving skills
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to interact with government officials and internal teams
  • Familiarity with ERP systems and reporting tools
  • Experience in export-import processes or customs clearance
  • Previous experience in a multinational corporation is preferred
