Assistant Manager - Account Payable & Payment

Our client is a leader in the global agriculture sector, recognized for pioneering new technologies and practices that drive efficiency and sustainability in farming. They are seeking an Assistant Manager - Accounts Payable & Payment to join their team during an exciting transition with the launch of a new ERP system in 2025. This role is critical for ensuring the efficiency and accuracy of accounts payable processes as the company consolidates its finance and accounting operations. The Assistant Manager will oversee the accounts payable team, manage vendor relations, and ensure compliance with financial regulations, all while supporting ERP implementation and process optimization.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the team to ensure timely and accurate processing of invoices and payments
• Play a key role in integrating accounts payable into the new ERP system, ensuring a smooth transition and identifying process improvements
• Mentor the accounts payable team, promoting continuous improvement and professional development
• Manage vendor relationships and resolve issues promptly
• Ensure compliance with financial regulations, prepare accurate reports, and manage tax responsibilities (VAT, WHT)
• Act as the point of contact for internal and external audits, ensuring efficient audits and reviews
• Provide accurate payables data for projects as needed
• Contribute to achieving team goals and enhancing service quality

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a relevant discipline
• Certification in CPD and/or CPA is advantageous
• Proven experience in accounts payable management with a strong understanding of accounting principles and practices
• Experience with ERP systems, particularly in accounts payable processes
• Strong leadership and team management skills
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Strong communication skills
