Group Head Technology and Business Application

Our client a global leader in vegetable seed business, is seeking a dynamic and strategic leader to join them in the role of Group Head - Technology. This is an excellent opportunity to lead and manage all technology initiatives within the East-West Seed group, contributing to the growth and success of the organization. The qualified candidate should possess an excellent track record in technology and digital initiatives, along with solid leadership experience at a senior level.

Responsibilities;

Technology and business application management:

• Define and manage the technology architecture within EWS: core systems, data, and integration
• Manage core business application management within EWS, including current ERP systems in Finance & Supply chain, Planning, S&M, and R&D
• Lead the sourcing, implementation, and adoption of business applications in all functional business areas
• Work with department leaders to identify and effectively implement business application management using cloud & mobility tehnology
• Ensure availability and performance of business applications are aligned to ITIL standards
• Lead a team of tech professionals to effectively manage the technology portfolio within EWS

Manage digital initiatives in EWS:

• Lead the digital initiatives within EWS to enhance current operations and new lines of business
• Actively participate in the rollout and adoption of various technologies and digital platforms
• Brand the digital initiatives and market the benefits across EWS functions and countries in collaboration with the Communication team
• Manage ad hoc technology projects

Train and measure technology effectiveness:

• Train EWS end-users by coordinating with internal stakeholders and partners
• Communicate the need to adopt technology projects and sustain changes in work procedures

Qualifications;

• At least 10 years of experience leading technology functions in a multinational business environment
• Experience in both technology and digital initiatives with a broad understanding of cloud technology, ERP, AI, ML
• good team player and communicator
• Familiarity with modern project management methods: Agile, DevOps
