We are currently seeking a Senior Customs Clearance Import Officer. In this role, you will be responsible for receiving and reviewing shipping documentation, coordinating with consignees and Customer Service, preparing import/export entries, managing the import clearance and delivery process, and ensuring timely payment of charges.

In this role, you will be responsible for receiving and reviewing shipping documentation, coordinating with consignees and Customer Service, preparing import/export entries, managing the import clearance and delivery process, and ensuring timely payment of charges.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate effectively with the Account Owner to maintain a high standard of work ethic
- Assist in qualifying potential customers alongside the Account Owner
- Respond promptly to customer email inquiries, resolving any complaints or issues to ensure customer satisfaction
- Update costs and selling rates regularly, in coordination with the Account Owner
- Provide quotes within KPI based on customer enquiries and requirements
- Procure costs by liaising with overseas contacts for rate requests, following information provided by the Account Owner
- Manage the company ticketing system according to the SOP, ensuring tickets are closed efficiently
- Bachelor’s degree
- 4-7 years of experience in freight forwarding, with a focus on customs clearance procedures
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and general PC operation
- Strong communication skills, with a willingness to improve and use English
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work independently
- Experience with EDI systems is preferred
- Strong customer service and soft skills required
- Demonstrated leadership abilities and clear communication skills
