Our client is a leader in semiconductor manufacturing, specialising in producing high-quality electronic components. They focus on maintaining rigorous quality standards and continuous process improvements to deliver reliable and innovative products to their customers. Currently, we are seeking a skilled and dedicated Manufacturing Quality Engineer to join their team. This position plays a critical role in ensuring product and process control per the control plan, working closely with production and engineering teams. The Manufacturing Quality Engineer will lead the 8D problem resolution process for internal and external concerns, collaborating with Customer Quality Engineers for updates.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain and update production control plans and related documents
- Ensure proper use, calibration, and maintenance of test equipment
- Collect, review, and react to manufacturing data, supporting continuous improvement
- Approve and maintain quality documentation such as control plans and work instructions
- Manage containment, rework, and inspection processes for non-conforming products
- Lead problem-solving processes, including 8D content and customer/internal response times
- Resolve quality issues related to capability, tolerances, and materials
- Conduct process capability studies and recommend improvements
- Modify Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA)
- Ensure training and qualification of Manufacturing Process Quality Inspectors
- Authority to stop any process or product delivery in case of non-conformance
Qualifications:
- Strong communication and coordination skills
- Ability to read and interpret drawings for quality parameters
- Experience in manufacturing processes and problem-solving tools (8D methodology)
- Knowledge of quality tools and methods (Control Plans, FMEA, MSA, SPC)
- Preferred experience in assembly processes
Experience:
- Entry-level position, preferably with 3 years of industry experience
- Experience in high-mix, low-volume manufacturing environments
- Knowledge of SPC, Variation Control, and MSA or GR&R techniques
- Understanding of ISO 9001 quality systems
