Our client is a leading multinational premium Cookware Manufacturer with its Headquarters in Europe and a growing presence in Thailand and throughout Asia. As a part of their expansion, they are currently looking for a new Product Development Manager to take care of their expanding Asian Hub. This is a fantastic opportunity to take full ownership of the new product development activities, from concept stage to launch, and coordinate with the different actors across multiple regions to develop innovative, top-quality products.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and coordinate all activities related to New Product Development (product and packaging) from concept to launch.
  • Cooperate with the company’s regional and global teams to ensure quality standards and align on the requirements.
  • Handle the execution of various product development projects from kick off to the market launch.
  • Ensure timely delivery of the projects according to the time to market timelines.
  • Follow the advancement of the NPD projects at every step and contribute to workflow resolution.
  • Coordinate annual SKU management with the relevant departments and take necessary delisting decisions.
  • Manage color chips and standard samples database and sign off color matching for the different product categories.
  • Collaborate with the Group NPD Manager to implement the company’s global standards and working processes within the product’s category.
  • Work closely and act as an interface between regional/local marketing teams and the sourcing team/supply chain.
  • Participate in product concept meetings and contribute to the new product’s ideas and innovation.
  • Research potential new technological and material innovations through a constant exchange with suppliers and cross-functional teams.
  • Translate consumer insights into purposeful designs (consumer-centric mindset).
  • Work together with the Group legal team to ensure products compliance with all the relevant laws and regulations.
  • Cooperate closely with the Group financial team to ensure products meet Group margin targets.
  • Identify existing issues in product offering and supply constraints and propose improvement solutions.

Requirements

  • Minimum Bachelor Degree in Engineering, preferably industrial, materials, chemical or mechanical engineering.
  • Strong expertise in new product development processes, preferably in FMCG or Retail industry.
  • Knowledge of material properties and manufacturing processes for consumer goods.
  • Ability to gauge technology and product trends, proactively recommending solutions.
  • Experience in circular design/ green design is a strong advantage.
  • Ability to work autonomously and take initiative.
  • Excellent understanding of creative processes, innovation and consumer insights.
  • Excellent command of English, both spoken and written.
