Our client is a leading multinational manufacturing company, with a rapidly growing presence in Thailand and throughout Asia. As a part of their expansion, they are currently looking for a Cost Controller to take full responsibility for managing the costs of manufacturing and ensuring optimized use of resources and alignment with budget. The future Cost Controller will play a pivotal role in supporting business growth, identifying inefficiencies in the controlling processes and contributing to creating a more cost-effective operations.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure and review the accuracy of cost drivers, standard rates and times, and other assumptions to ensure the relevance to the manufacturing processes.
  • Support budgetary cost estimation of new products during development phases and control the outcome versus plan.
  • Analyze manufacturing variances in regards to standard costing, budget and previous year.
  • Provide insightful recommendations to improve performance and mitigate risks.
  • Manage inventory valuations and accuracy, oversee stock-taking, and monitor the effectiveness of action plans on stock accuracy.
  • Develop and maintain standard operating procedures to ensure accuracy of financial information and proper monitoring of all areas of the business.
  • Lead the budgeting process and quarterly revisions, challenge operation managers while providing a reliable and detailed financial perspective.
  • Ensure the timely submission of managerial costing reports with meaningful and thorough analysis.
  • Propose methodological improvements and new reports to enhance or redefine existing reports and provide advance analysis.
  • Provide insightful recommendations to Financial Controller and CEO to improve operations and meet/exceed financial and operational targets.
  • Contribute to the elaboration of the industrial strategy by providing useful insights to stakeholders
  • Develop and fine-tune the use of the current ERP (Microsoft AX) and refine related processes and documentations.
  • Help your team to grow and learn. Provide guidance and encouragement, share best practices.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting & finance or higher.
  • 5 years of experience in Accounting and Finance, with at least 3 years in a similar role (Cost controller or Financial Planning & Analysis).
  • Excellent command of English is a must.
  • Experience with a leading ERP system (Microsoft AX, SAP, Oracle) will be a significant advantage.
  • Advanced Excel skills, able to handle large volumes of data and complexity.
  • Detail oriented with a problem-solving mindset and strong analytical skills.
  • Self-motivated, able to take initiatives and work with autonomy in an environment with shifting priorities.
